all VOLUNTEER organization
As a volunteer, we typically do not receive remuneration in the form of monetary compensation because volunteers offer their time, skill, and services willingly and without expectation of payment.
Volunteers contribute to organizations or causes they believe in,
motivated by personal fulfillment, a desire to help others, or to gain experience in a particular field. While volunteers may be reimbursed for certain expenses directly related to their volunteer work, they do not receive regular wages or salaries. If they did they would be employees.

History:
In the early days of Sun Lakes Country Club, the late 1980's, fund raising took place with a Celebrity Golf Tournament to support the San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital.
In 1998 the tournament changed to a PRO-AM Golf Tournament. Since then, a full week of activities became known as Charity Week. The Charity Week is held in June each year and includes fund raising activities and events each day for a week. This decade events are held throughout the year to enhance fundraising giving business sponsors and residents alike opportunity to actively support local charitable activities.
There are many ways that Sun Lakers support local charities. In addition to participating in EVENTS and raffles, perhaps most important is by volunteering to help them. To quote the dozens that we support, "we could not do what we do without your help." That says it all.
